Saddam's atrocities exposed on video Jan 25, 2006
Responding to accusations Saddam Hussein is being "demonized" as
his trial resumes, a U.S. group has released videotapes documenting torture and
murder ordered by the former Iraqi dictator.
The
videos, are graphic and should not be viewed by children, warns the
Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
"Television news understandably will not broadcast these videos, but they are
nevertheless an important record of Saddam Hussein's crimes against humanity,"
said FDD President Clifford May. May
believes it was necessary to "set the record straight" after Saddam defense
attorney Ramsey Clark, the former U.S. attorney general, complained to American
media that the former leader was being "demonized."
"Saddam committed demonic acts for years ?
while much of the international
community turned a blind eye," May said. "History will record that Saddam was
among the most brutal and evil tyrants of the Middle East. This is something we
must not forget as Iraq attempts to establish a new society, one that guarantees
freedom and fundamental human rights." The
images are brutal and disturbing, May said, and not intended for all audiences,
but "for those who want to understand the evils of the Saddam regime, and
especially for anyone inclined to excuse or minimize the crimes committed, these
videos demonstrate that Saddam was a ruthless mass murderer and a threat to all
humanity."
This is a story that much of this world couldn't care less
about. This is a world that has no more compassion - but has become heavy with a
group of 'elite' leaders - who are doing and speaking things that are not right.
There is no united voice coming from them that is
righteously filled with a heartfelt of utmost contempt, for the brutal tyrants
that this world is managing to produce. And their empty condemnations always
ring hollow. But, when voices do come forth to speak up against the tyrants -
they put forth a strong concerted effort immediately - that resonates with an
ear-deafening roar.
In fact - they even had the masses marching for them not
long ago in defense of Saddam and his regime - even while knowing about
the atrocities that were taking place.
And the mass graves do cry out for justice - but they're
not interested in serving it.
[and they scream about global warming?]
Rom 3:17 And the way of peace have they not known. Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. Mic 3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but He will not hear them: Isa 66:4 Because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
