Hal Lindsey says... As you can imagine, everyone is asking me my take on the significance of the Hamas victory in "Democratic elections" held in the West Bank and Gaza. Let me put this into the larger context of my view on the situation. I view all of this from the vantage point of God's prophecies concerning His miraculous restoration of Israel as a nation in the land He unconditionally promised them "in the last days."
God predicted the following things through the prophet Ezekiel, in stages: Stage 1 The physical restoration of the Israelites to nationhood in their ancient home land from their worldwide dispersion: Jerusalem is above
Important to understand -There is a resurrection of the damned:
Stage 2 This restored nation of Israel will be attacked in "the last days" by a coalition of the surrounding nations (that are all Muslim with Persia preeminent) that will be armed and led by Russia:
Jer 46:10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. Stage 3 After Israel's Messiah miraculously delivers them from utter destruction, they will recognize who He is and believe in Him:

Rom 8:9 Ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Jhn 14:30 for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. He already poured out His Spirit. The Old Testament said that the time would come when we no longer need any man to teach us - and the New Testament says - we need no man to teach us. Hbr 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. There is only one time in Israel's history when Israel "pierced her God" ? it was when they rejected their Messiah, Yeshua Ha'Meshiach, and delivered Him to be crucified by the Romans. (I am not saying here that Israel alone is guilty for that. Since the Messiah died for the sins of all mankind, we are all equally guilty for His death.)
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. The Temple of God is not physical: 1Cr 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1Cr 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you? which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1Cr 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. {the way to defile the temple - is by what comes out of the mouth: Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works [Scriptures rightly divided], and glorify your Father which is in heaven. This is the work of the Temple of God. All are commanded to take part. Now to the main point of my understanding of these prophecies. According to God's prophecies ? that relate to these very times we live in ? once Israel is restored as a nation from their worldwide dispersion, they will never again be destroyed as a nation. Israel will go through the greatest calamities of their history, but God will not allow them to be destroyed and scattered again. The whole context of Ezekiel chapters 36 through 39 promises this. I analyzed the disaster the Oslo Peace Accords triggered, with its even more catastrophic offspring, the Roadmap to Peace. I surmised that unless Israel soon chooses a leader that will be strong enough to fight off foreign intervention, refuse to give into terrorists and deal in strength against those who vow that they will wipe Israel off the map, they will be destroyed.
And the stench that is called "right to self-determination" is nothing else - but another name for Murder. And that body called the UN - accepted it. Exd 15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. {song of Moses} the saints 'sing' this song To execute upon them the judgment [already] written: Psa 149:9 And they sing the song of the Lamb: Mar 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation {desolate - without life - without the Son - Palestine denies the Son], STANDING WHERE IT OUGHT NOT Because God already condemned Palestine - and the name Israel belongs to God - not men But when ye shall see the abomination....standing where it ought not... Mat 24:21 Then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Isa 14:31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. Why fight to build that which God already said He is going to destroy? These truths are the 'stoning' that causes death: Lev 24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD [The name Israel is a name that belongs to God], he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be {Key words] put to death.Jer 51:57 They shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts. Deu 32:39 See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand. Psa 89:48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Murderers are already condemned Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling Stone and Rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 1Pe 2:8 And a Stone of stumbling, and a Rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. Which self-professing 'Christian' house have you heard singing the song of Moses? Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour. Mat 12:30 He that is not with Me - is against Me {there is no in-between]; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 'are cast away' I know of only one leader in Israel who has the kind of understanding of Islam and the courage and strategy to deal with them. His name is Benyamin Netanyahu. This is why I sought and got an interview with him in early November while I was in Jerusalem.
In that interview, I asked him what would be his plan if elected prime minister again. His answer was awesome in its insight, clarity and wisdom. By the way, that interview is available on DVD from my website. It was the one I intended to show when I was cancelled at TBN. When I talked to knowledgeable people about Netanyahu getting elected, no one gave him a chance. My friend and astute news analyst Morris Beschloss thought it was virtually impossible. I said to him, "Just watch. I believe God will move events around so that 'Bibi' Netanyahu will be elected." He now believes along with me that this is a real probability. Two events changed the whole political landscape in Israel, not to mention the world's. First, Ariel Sharon had his tragic stroke. Second, Hamas was elected to power in a truly free "democratic election." In other words - Palestinians made it perfectly clear - that they are the true Islam. So why are non-Muslim leaders financially supporting a religion? This last event shocked even the most liberal-minded peacenik dreamer in Israel. {what else did they expect?] Now most of Israel realizes that the only hope to survive is to bring in a leader who will not give anything to "terrorists because he knows it only emboldens them to attack more and gives them power over the few Palestinians that might not want to use the jihad option."
It is my sincere prayer for Israel that they elect Mr. Netanyahu as their next prime minister. I can't see anyone else doing what needs to be done.
In the meantime, we Americans need to learn the lesson that all of the dictatorial rulers of Muslim countries know only too well. They are never foolish enough to allow a truly free, democratic election. These leaders know that if they did, most them would be voted out of power by the most radical elements of Islam. Just look at Algeria, Morocco ? and, yes, Saudi Arabia ? to name a few examples. Even Egypt exerts lots of pressure behind the scenes on their elections. 'Democracy' does not exist in Islam:
So America needs to learn a different solution for dealing with the Muslim world. Fight to set them free from the tyranny of Muslim leaders. Set them up in a democracy. Most of them will then use that "democratic freedom" to vote back in a radical fundamentalist and return to the severity of the Quran's Sharia Law. {Is this not so?] That is their religion. It is contrary to concepts of Western-style democracy.
