VATICAN CITY (AP) - John Paul II received Muslim, Orthodox Christian and Jewish religious leaders from Azerbaijan, calling their visit Thursday a symbol of tolerance and declaring that religion must never be used for violent aims.

The Muslims' god says:

009.029 Fight those who believe not in Allah

009.005 fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war.

``No one has the right to present or use religion as an instrument of intolerance, as a means of aggression, of violence, of death,'' the Vatican's king told the group.

Christians, Muslims and Jews must appeal together for an end to violence in the world "with justice for all,'' he said.

"This is the way of religions", {plural]'' he said.

Jam 1:27 Pure religion {not plural] and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction [who are the 'Fatherless' and who are the widows?], and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The audience was scheduled to repay the Vatican's king 2002 trip to Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic and mainly Muslim nation with a Roman Catholic population of only 300 people.

The Vatican said John Paul II wanted to hold up Azerbaijan as an example of coexistence and cooperation among religions and express hope that  "a full peace in the spirit of reconciliation'' may be achieved in the region - a reference to the country's conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, an ethnic Armenian enclave.

A cease-fire ended [with a 'land for peace' deal] fighting in 1994 after some 30,000 people were killed and more than 1 million people fled their homes. [which is why there are only 300 Catholics there]

If the people refuse to stand united in speaking the truth - oppression will take over:

009.029 Fight those who believe not in Allah

002.216 Fighting is prescribed for you

008.067 It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war [slay them] until he hath thoroughly subdued the land.

002.193 And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah.

004.095 Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit at home. Unto all in Faith Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight hath He distinguished above those who sit at home by a special reward.

009.039 Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place.

047.004 Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks. [Behead them]

What good are international laws when the 'global body' continues to defend such a god?

Hypocrite:

n. a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he does not hold

one who puts on a mask and feigns himself to be what he is not

This world won't admit to the level of the hypocrisy.  Nevertheless - it is commanded that we: Speak every man truth with his neighbour}  Eph 4:25
