Arab League urges U.S. to take Qoran desecration charges seriously

CAIRO (AFP) - The Arab League called on Washington to treat seriously allegations that the Koran was desecrated by guards at a U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and impose the maximum penalty on anyone convicted.

U.S. law does not allow authorities to abuse anyone for their beliefs. Nor does it demand that the U.S. government defend anyone for their 'religious' beliefs.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

 

"Should the report turn out to be true, the Arab League urges the U.S. administration to deal with these charges with the seriousness needed," the pan-Arab body said.

Not until the Islamic world includes the same exact respect for the Bible.

It called on U.S. authorities to "impose the maximum penalty possible" on anyone convicted of "involvement in this heinous crime or planning it" and offer guarantees that it will not happen again.

Not until the Islamic world's authorities agree to "impose the maximum penalty possible" on those who deny access to the New Testament.

Let the Koran with its own words defend itself - against the words of the New Testament.

Where O where are the 'wise' men at?

The statement added that Muslims the world over deserved an apology for the alleged disrespect shown to their holy book.

The Koran calls all of the eye witnesses - the apostles of Jesus --- liars! by the mouth of one - who wasn't even there to witness Him.

 

Muhammad calls all of the prophets of the Old Testament liars also. The Old Testament ALSO claims - that God does have a Son. The Jews don't accept Jesus as that Son, nevertheless - they believe God has a Son:

 

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God [whole congregation of God] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

 

Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, {The Prophet of the sons of God] lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

 

The Old Testament ALSO claims - that God does have a Son.
 

The United States has promised action against soldiers who allegedly defiled copies of the Qoran by leaving them in toilet cubicles and even stuffing one down a lavatory to rattle Muslim prisoners. Reported Quran Desecration Sparks Outrage

Meanwhile, Yemen's government and thousands of university students on Saturday added their voices to the Muslim world's anger over alleged desecration of Islam's holy book, the Quran, by U.S. troops at the Guantanamo detention facility.

The Arab League, based in Cairo, Egypt, also issued a statement saying if the allegations panned out, Washington should apologize to Muslims.

In Afghanistan, where recent protests against the reported desecration left 15 people dead, President Hamid Karzai blamed the violence on opponents trying to tarnish the country's image. Another U.S. ally, Pakistan's President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, called for a thorough investigation. The denunciations follow protests elsewhere in the Middle East and Asia after Newsweek magazine reported that U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, placed Qoran in washrooms to unsettle suspects, and "flushed a holy book down the toilet."

A violation of the Constitution of the U.S.

But here are some facts - of which it is NOT a violation - to point them out:

Those teachings are clearly condemned by the U.S. Constitution.

They are permitted to trade back and forth the ones they took as prisoners of war [after killing their men] - as though they are merchandise just so they can have their way with them.  [''justifiable'' mass rape. This is Islam]

The non-Muslim men are to be slaughtered [until the land is thoroughly subdued 008.067 ] and their wives and daughters raped by Muslim men - as they please.

Those who claim that Islam condemns violence - are lying.

What is so peaceful about those writings?

As for the New Testament - there is NOT ONE SINGLE SCRIPTURE where humans are to hurt each other. Not One. Quite the contrary!

Many of the 520 inmates at Guantanamo are Muslims. Thousands of San`a University students demonstrated on campus, chanting "Death to America!" The students, surrounded by security forces, carried banners reading, "We will not falter, we will not tolerate insulting the Qoran."

Seven students were arrested, said Radwan Massoud, a student union member. Yemen's official news agency, Saba, quoted an unidentified government official as describing the alleged abuse by U.S. soldiers as "dangerous" and "inhumane."

What is inhumane?

"Such practices lead to more reactions that harm U.S. interests and obstruct efforts exerted to build bridges of understanding and dialogue between religions and cultures," Saba quoted the official as saying.

'Dialogue' - 'tolerance' - 'diversity' - is what led to the present mess.

Opening up the books - specifically the Koran and the New Testament upon the table of the U.N. is the only way to come to any conclusion.

Separating the cultures is one way:

President Ali Abdullah Saleh met Saturday with American Ambassador Thomas C. Krajeski, who denounced the reported desecration and assured the president that an investigation was under way.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has promised "appropriate action" would be taken if the allegations are proven true.

The U.S. government has said the desecration charge was being investigated by the Pentagon.

The 22-nation Arab League also criticized the alleged desecration of Islam's holy book.

"We, in the Islamic Ahmed Kiftaro Compound, condemn every abuse that targets the sanctities of any nation and stress on respecting the right of any person to faith," the center said in a faxed statement Saturday. It urged the United States "to try and punish those who dared (to desecrate) the Quran and apologize to the 1 billion Muslims" in the world. The Qatari newspaper Al-Watan described the act as "an unusual crime" and said the purported disrespect to the Quran reflects "the depth of hatred inside some Americans toward Islam." It added that "the U.S. administration's record about tolerance and dialogue between cultures is a delusion."

The Koran forgot to mention Palestine.
