Newspaper in "black heart of Islam" row By Pete Harrison Sept 1, 2004 LONDON (Reuters) - The country's largest Muslim group has called for the sacking of the Sunday Telegraph's editor over a series of articles attacking "the black heart of Islam". The author of four opinion pieces in the traditionally conservative newspaper described Islam as a "supranationalist army and state" and compared Muslims to dogs.
A media hunt for the author, who penned his views under a pseudonym, led to the communications office in London of the British Council, a state-funded body that aims to promote British culture abroad. Ponder: The Bible was assembled in England. Can anyone imagine Christianity being preached in Mecca? Medina? Iran? [They'd be slaughtered]
The British Council said on Wednesday it had sacked the author of the articles, Harry Cummins. The MCB, an umbrella body for over 400 Muslim groups, called for the Telegraph Group to follow suit by sacking editor Dominic Lawson. This is why it is more important to expose the commands of their allah. he has more authority than the Muslims do....because he is their god. Certainly....no Muslim can argue with him. his teachings VIOLATE the laws of the lands of non-Muslim countries! The Koran thoroughly VIOLATES the U.S. Constitution. It is FULL of TREASONOUS commands! 004.094 O ye who believe! Is this not treasonous? for non-Muslim countries? and the 'moderate' Muslims are lying about their religion....because 'greater' are the Muslims who go out and fight and receive hurt...than those who don't! Just because a person claims to be a Christian....does not necessarily mean that they are. As far as the Old Testament and stoning to death? SEE} Stoning [the 'meat' of the Word...not the 'milk'...but easy to see] The Congregation of God is commanded to speak the Stone - the Word - The Rock of offense - to this world. Those who reject it...are rejecting Life The Koran teaches a complete opposite way to be, than the Bible does. "We are dismayed that the Telegraph Group have yet to take any action against the editor of the Sunday Telegraph," said the MCB's Abdul Bari in a statement. They're offended at insults [words cannot break bones] but they're not offended with the teachings of their Koran??? One article said Britain feared Islam. "It is the black heart of Islam, not its black face, to which millions object," Cummins wrote. The articles, which the Telegraph published alongside other opinion pieces offering a more complimentary view of the country's 2 million Muslims, triggered scores of complaints. Muslims have reported increasing hostility and discrimination after the September 11 attacks on the United States. "We are quite certain that had Mr Cummins written in the same sustained and repugnant terms about another minority, say the Jewish community, the Sunday Telegraph editor would have been dismissed from his position by now," Bari said. No comment was immediately available from the newspaper. In January, politician and talk show host Robert Kilroy-Silk, caused outrage with an article in another paper that called Arabs "limb amputators". Fallout from the piece forced him to quit his popular TV show. The MCB said the Sunday Telegraph's articles were clearly devised to provoke hatred of British Muslims. "This case demonstrates worryingly how Islamophobia is fast becoming a respectable vice in certain sections of the media," said Bari. Do these writings offend you? more so...than mere words of insults from men? If a man can loose his job for one remark that a group doesn't like [one that is not provoking murder on a world-wide scale] -- what should be the punishment of a book like the Koran? in a non-Muslim nation?
